Zhuo Wang

Zhuo Wang graduated as a Master in Pharmacy at Yantai University in 2023, following his Master’s degree in Biology obtained at Southwest University of science and technology in 2019.

During his Master’s study in Pharmacy, He joined the laboratory of Assoc. Prof. Yanping Zhu for his Master’s thesis, entitled’ Design, Synthesis and in vitro Anti-tumor Activity of 4H-isoxazolo[3',4':4,5]pyrano[3,2-b]quinoline and Derivatives’. He was also involved in a program that developed fluorescence probes based on Celecoxib. In 2024, he joined the Verwilst’s Lab at the Rega Institute for Medicinal Research to pursue a PhD in Pharmaceutical Sciences.

His PhD project focuses on the development of small-molecule drugs as potential intracellular CCR5 chemokine antagonists.
